Coffee Story – Yirgacheffe & Sidamo Region
Yirgacheffe and Sidamo are among Ethiopia’s most prestigious coffee regions – a country considered the birthplace of coffee.
Coffee trees grow here at high altitudes (1600 – 2200 m / 5200 – 7200 ft), in fertile volcanic soil and under a gentle tropical climate.
These conditions give the beans an unmistakable character: fresh fruity acidity, floral notes, and a clean, elegant flavor profile.
Coffees from Yirgacheffe are prized for their delicacy and complexity, while Sidamo brings more pronounced fruity and citrus nuances.
